Our take on the Magic 8 Lite
The cheapest way to get the Magic 8 Lite on contract today is on Talkmobile: £135 upfront and £11.95 a month with 15GB of data, £421.80 over 24 months. At the other end of our table, Three’s best deal works out £142.40 dearer once rises are counted — the same phone, so the network choice alone is worth that much.
This deal has no annual price rise, so £421.80 is what you pay over the two years — rare on a phone contract and worth weighing against slightly lower headline prices elsewhere.
Buying the Magic 8 Lite SIM-free costs from £329. Pair it with a SMARTY 30-day SIM at £6 a month and two years cost £473, £51.20 more than the cheapest contract. Here retailers discount the handset to win the airtime, so the contract wins on price.
