Our take on the Razr 70
The cheapest way to get the Razr 70 on contract today is on iD Mobile: £79 upfront and £26.99 a month with 100GB of data, £769.96 over 24 months. At the other end of our table, Vodafone’s best deal works out £233.04 dearer once rises are counted — the same phone, so the network choice alone is worth that much.
iD Mobile adds £1.80 a month every April, so a contract started now costs about £43.20 more than the headline figure: £769.96 in all. Networks without an annual rise are worth a look if the gap is small.
Buying the Razr 70 SIM-free costs from £799. Pair it with a SMARTY 30-day SIM at £6 a month and two years cost £943, £173.04 more than the cheapest contract. Here retailers discount the handset to win the airtime, so the contract wins on price.
